Mindset advice on gratitude and perspective to find clarity and balance

CHOOSE YOUR PATH, CHANGE YOUR PERSPECTIVE

Q: What do I do if I can’t see the good in my life? Everything feels heavy and stressful.

A: The most powerful tool for changing your mindset is gratitude. Make a list of the most simple, basic things that you are grateful for. Start small: “I am grateful for this cup of coffee. I am grateful for air conditioning. I am grateful for my dogs.”

Let the list flow and build on itself. If you focus on all the little things that you are grateful for, you eliminate space for negative thoughts.

When you’ve added a few things to your list, try this:

Visualize two roads. One is dark and filled with the people and things that are bothering you and making you feel heavy right now. The other road is bright, fun, and glittery, lined with every happy memory and any bit of joy you’ve felt in your life.

Do it. Close your eyes and see your two paths. You are going to go for a walk— which one do you pick?

You have the power to choose that.
